There are many different types of blogs on the internet today, but this one will try to focus on technology-oriented blogs. The funny thing about technology-oriented blogs, is that they are created using advanced features of web-based technology.
Some blogs that are heavily technology oriented are:

Some tech blogs like Slashdot allow their readers to customize the way they read the website. This is essential for people running different web browsers, running at higher/lower resolutions than that of the creator's computer, or people who just want to filter out all the news that they aren't interested in.

Techdirt is a technology news blog that is set up much like a normal blog, however, anyone who visits the site can submit a blog entry. It is also separated into three main news sections: wireless, books, and reports.

Gizmodo is all about new gadgets. It focuses on new cellphones, PDAs, PCs, cameras, etc.

Kuro5hin provides social commentary on the effects of current technology on society. It not only focuses on technology, but it focuses on politics, literature, and history.

A rather unique trend in blogging shows actors and actresses creating and maintaining their own blog. Leo Laporte's Blog is a great example of an actor's blog with a technology slant. Leo Laporte hosts two shows on Tech TV: Call For Help, and The Screen Savers.

If it's new and nearly unheard of, Emerging Technologies has blogged it.
